Contests
Colorado Press Women sponsors a Communications Contest for professionals and a High School Journalism Contest annually. In addition, CPW presents the Communicator of Achievement Award to a deserving member and at least one scholarship to a Colorado college communications major.
Winners of the 2011 state contest were announced at the annual spring meeting April 16, 2011, at La Mariposa in Lyons. CPW first-place winners were entered in the National Federation of Press Women Communications Contest, and national awards were presented at the NFPW National Conference Sept. 8-10, 2011, in Council Bluffs, Iowa / Omaha, Neb.
