Teresa Ford has worked in journalism for more than 30 years, first as a reporter at The Denver Post and the Fort Collins Coloradoan, and then in public information for Jefferson County Open Space.
For the past 18 years she has been self employed as a writer, editor and desktop publisher. She edits and publishes the quarterly publication, Ranger, for the Association of National Park Rangers, and coordinates the group's website. In 2007 she added membership services to her duties. In addition, she does writing, editing, publishing and Web work for other clients in both the public and private sectors.
She holds a master's degree in journalism from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a bachelor's from Colorado State University. She and husband Karl have two grown children — Melissa, a University of Colorado graduate working in architecture, and Ryan, also a CU graduate and co-owner of two Apex Movement parkour gyms, in metro Denver and Boulder. Teresa's volunteer work includes projects for Evergreen Animal Protective League and sponsoring a young woman's education in Tanzania. She enjoys traveling, hiking and reading.
