Colorado Press Women, an affiliate of the National Federation of Press Women, was founded in 1941 and incorporated in 1962. NFPW was founded in 1937. We award at least one college scholarship annually to a deserving student in the field of communications/journalism.
What we do — CPW meets several times during the year, providing opportunities for professional growth, leadership skills enhancement, networking and recognition.
Who we are — CPW is a diverse organization of professional communicators, both women and men, who are reporters, editors, broadcasters, public relations practitioners, publishers, advertising and marketing professionals, college communications educators, graphic designers, photographers, freelance writers and authors.
Mission — CPW and NFPW promote the highest ethical standards, foster exchanges of journalistic ideas and experiences, offer continuing educational opportunities, and serve the public’s right-to-know.
