Christine Tatum, a business writer at The Denver Post since 2003, specializes in coverage of real estate and consumer technology.
She came to Denver from Chicago where she worked for three years as a producer, staff reporter and assistant editor at the Chicago Tribune. Her experience also includes work at newspapers in North Carolina, Illinois and Tribune Media Services in Chicago.
Tatum is the newly elected president of the Society of Professional Journalists, and she has served as a board member of SPJ since 2002. She won the SPJ President's Award in 2002 for outstanding commitment to the improvement and protection of journalism. She also has won several other prominent awards for excellence in journalism.
Tatum holds a bachelor's degree in journalism and political science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
